Senior Staff Members Present at Coastal Law Conference

 

Two senior members of E Sciences' technical staff presented at the annual "Florida Coastal Law" conference held June 26-27 in Miami.

 

Patricia Gertenbach, P.G., a licensed geologist and manager of E Sciences' Fort Lauderdale office, addressed the conference attendees on the new alternative lighting standards under development for the FDOT to protect sea turtle hatchlings in coastal areas. Jena Mier, a senior ecologist and manager of the Stuart office, spoke on recent changes regarding the status of certain threatened and endangered species.

 

The two-day conference was presented by CLE International and featured speakers from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the South Florida Water Management District, the University of Florida and other institutions, and was held at the Conrad Hotel in Miami.
