GIS TECHNICIAN - INTERMEDIATE LEVEL POSITION

E Sciences, an Engineering, Environmental and Ecological consulting firm, offers excellent opportunities for growth to energetic, dynamic, individuals.  We promote a challenging team approach toward achieving professional goals balance with the flexibility to pursue personal interests. The firm is seeking a full-time GIS Technician.  This is a great position for an organized, energetic person.  We require a technically strong and innovative individual who has experience with both GIS and AutoCAD, as well as strong communication skills.  Requirements include the ability to manage GIS data from multiple sources using the ESRI ArcGIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D format.  Prefer GIS/CAD experience in the environmental sciences, landscape architecture, land planning, civil engineering, and surveying disciplines.  Focus is on a fast-paced work day producing maps, site plans, and detail sheets.  Anticipated workload would be 60% GIS and Mapping, and 40% CAD.

Preferred Candidate Skills, Experience, and Characteristics:

• Documented Experience digitizing features from aerial photos using AutoDesk and ESRI products
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Minimum 3 years professional experience using ESRI's ArcGIS suite of software
• Minimum 2 years professional experience using AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of Microstation V8
• Strong geospatial data collection and documentation skills
• Experience with GPS products and software
• Strong GIS/CAD problem solving skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
