SCIENTIST/ENGINEER
E Sciences, Incorporated is seeking a Scientist/Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to work in our Fort Lauderdale or Miami, Florida office as an environmental consultant starting part-time and progressing to full-time. Strong communication skills are required.
Responsibilities:
- Organizing and conducting fieldwork activities for wetlands and listed species survey
- Preparation of reports such as Wetland Evaluation Reports and Biological Assessments
- Preparation of state/federal wetland permitting applications
- FDOT PD&E/NEPA studies
- Marine surveys for benthic resources, such as SAV
- Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments
- Soil and groundwater sampling in accordance with FDEP SOPs
- NPDES stormwater inspections
- Tree evaluations/hazard assessments
- GIS
Requirements:
- 4 year science or engineering degree from accredited college or university
- 3 to 5+ years of environmental consulting experience in Florida
- Strong client focus
- Strong written and oral communication skills - a must
- Ability to work independently
- Strong technical report writing skills
- High level of coordination and interaction with local, state, and federal regulatory personnel
- Occasional travel
