Timely Tips and Tropical Treats in Marco

At this year’s Environmental Permitting Short Course in Marco Island, attendees who stopped by the E Sciences booth found a great way to beat the heat—frozen drinks served up by members of our staff. We also served up a good helping of industry knowledge, with four of our senior staff members delivering presentations during the annual three-day event. Speakers and topics included:

• Peter Partlow, P.E., speaking on “How to Deal with Agencies in Negotiating Settlement or Consent Agreements”
• James S. Bassett, P.E., and Robert J. Potts sharing their knowledge during the “NPDES Update” sessions
• Gisele Colbert provided insight regarding “Science-Based Solutions to Permitting and Mitigating in the Coastal Marine Environment”

E Sciences has participated as a sponsor and exhibitor in this annual educational conference every year since the firm’s inception. At this year’s event, hundreds of guests were drawn to our booth by the frozen drink offerings and by our raffle contest for autographed copies of “Our Bearable World, a children’s book about the environment by author/illustrator Joel Gresham.
