ECOLOGICAL Project Experience
Mitigation Banking
Brick Road Mitigation Bank, Volusia County, FL
E Sciences is providing ecological services associated with the post permit compliance monitoring required by the St. Johns River Water Management District for this 2,945-acre mitigation bank project located on the west side of North Old Dixie Highway (a/k/a Old Brick Road) and immediately south of the St. Johns/Flagler County line. The monitoring was designed and implemented to demonstrate compliance with the ecological success criteria established in the mitigation bank permit, including Baseline, Semi-Annual, and Annual Monitoring over a five year period, permit modification and agency coordination on an as-needed basis.
Mitigation Banking
Barberville Mitigation Bank, Volusia County, FL
E Sciences has been contracted to provide ecological services associated with the post-permit compliance monitoring required by the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) at this 366 acre mitigation bank project situated northwest of the intersection of SR 40 and CR 3 near Barberville. The bank is a joint venture project between Environmental Planning and Management (EPM) and Volusia County and the bank is located on land owned and managed by Volusia County. The monitoring was designed and implemented to demonstrate compliance with the ecological success criteria established in both mitigation bank permits. The tasks provided for this project include Baseline, Semi-Annual, and Annual Monitoring over a five year period and permit modification and agency coordination on an as-needed basis.
