Water Quality Management

  • Upper Ocklawaha River Basin Management Action Plan, Lake and Orange Counties, FL
  • Lake Jesup Basin Management Action Plan, Seminole and Orange Counties, FL

E Sciences participated in the Technical Working Groups (TWGs) representing the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Five, in the successful development of the Basin Management Action Plans (BMAPs) for the Upper Ocklawaha River Basin and Lake Jesup Basin.  These BMAPs were developed to comply with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's (FDEP) Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for impaired waterbodies within these basins.  E Sciences' staff conducted pollutant load analysis and reviewed FDEP's pollutant loading models to ensure assigned load reduction allocations accurately reflected FDOT District Five contributions to the listed basin.  E Sciences' staff coordinated with FDOT District Five staff in the development of appropriate project inventories necessary to meet FDOT's assigned load allocations.  E Sciences continues to provide technical support services to FDOT District Five during the implementation phase of the referenced BMAPs.
